Towards the end of the 19th century, the Müller brothers’ brickyard was built on the periphery of the city of Zagreb, where it proceeded to operate for almost a hundred years until the early 1990s, when production was discontinued within the scope of the privatization process. The main factory floor including the chimney was predominant in the formation of the visual identity of Črnomerec, somewhat schizophrenically defined by zet trams’ terminal, bus stops, scattered stands of the nearby open market, the foot of Medvednica Mountain, the large Super Konzum store with a parking lot, many local cafes, and a stream of people circulating the terminal daily.
